About
Amy Brammall is a freelance photographer based in Leeds, best known for her playful, character-led portraiture and her instinct for visual storytelling. Working primarily in entertainment and advertising, she’s produced key art, book covers and campaign imagery—often building her own sets and props to bring each concept to life.
Alongside her commercial work, Amy develops personal projects that blend emotion with a dry sense of humour. Her series Grief is the Price We Pay for Love explored themes of loss and solitude, earning Honourable Mentions in the 2023 PX3 and IPA 2023 Awards. In contrast, her comedic self-portraits and satirical series take aim at everyday absurdities, placing her subjects in surreal, often ridiculous scenarios that are as much performance as they are portraiture.
Her creative approach has gained international recognition, including features in Lürzer’s Archive’s 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide.
